What Made You Start First In Restoration?

A few years ago David saw how an elderly friend of the family was treated by a big brand restoration franchise. Her kitchen was completely torn up by the company and the insurance decided not to cover her water damage claim. Because of this, her space was unusable and she was left on the hook for a mitigation bill and plumbing bill that was astronomical. It hurt David's heart to see the stress she had to go through. After witnessing this, he wanted to prevent this from happening to anyone. From that moment David decided to expand outside of his construction background and delve into emergency services with an emphasis in water damage restoration. He signed up for classes and testing so he could get certified with the IICRC. Certifications and training are extremely important in the military, so why should the civilian world be any different?
